Why was my PayNow transfer rejected?

A PayNow transfer may be rejected for several reasons. The app will usually display an error message explaining what went wrong.

Common reasons for rejection

  • Incorrect recipient details (e.g. wrong mobile number or NRIC)

  • Transaction limit exceeded

  • Insufficient wallet balance

  • Security restrictions or temporary blocks

What you can do

  1. Check the error message shown in the app

  2. Verify the recipient details and correct them if needed

  3. Ensure you have enough balance and have not exceeded your transaction limits

  4. Try the transfer again
